The Armenian Business Development Association in Australia launched a fundraiser to help the affected people by Artsakh war. One of the organizers of the event was businessman Garo Simonyan. “I stressed the importance of giving as much immediate aid as we can. But also stressed that it was like the earthquake in that we will all need to help in the long term to help rebuild infrastructure and the economy”,main speaker of the event, Jon Dee, philanthropist from Australia, founder of the Do Domething Foundation and the Rock Aid Armenia initiative, told 1lurer.am.
Dee told Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for the Diaspora of Armenia told about why the money being raised was so important to help the displaced Armenians in Artsakh. The Australian philanthropist said he stressed the importance of Armenian business people in the diaspora donating their time, investment and knowledge to people in Armenia and Artsakh.
"It was good to be able to talk about my passion and love for Armenia and all my Armenian friends" Dee had posted on Facebook after the event.
