The RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopirkin, according to the RA Ministry of Health.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister thanked the Russian Federation for its multifaceted assistance in the field of health, especially emphasizing the recent work in the fight against the coronavirus, as well as the ongoing work on the fight against HIV / AIDS.
Arsen Torosyan also referred to the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and thanked the Russian Federation for all the efforts aimed at resolving the conflict.
"It turned out that at the moment our healthcare system works in 3 directions. The first direction is planned measures (medical care, obstetrics, immunization, etc.), the second - coronavirus, which is growing both in our country and around the world. And thirdly, taking into account the burden of the Artsakh healthcare system as a result of the hostilities, the Armenian healthcare sector also provides appropriate assistance. The congestion in the three directions of the system, of course, causes some difficulties, but we are able to overcome it", said the Minister.
The parties expressed mutual readiness to continue and strengthen cooperation in this field.
