"Our meeting takes place in a situation when our compatriots in Artsakh are facing an existential threat. In this regard, I would like to express my special thanks to my colleague for visiting Armenia at this important time and expressing his solidarity with the Armenian people.
Our regions, the Eastern Mediterranean and the South Caucasus, are currently facing the same threat, which is based on Turkey's expansionist policy", said Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan during a press conference with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.
According to Mnatsakanyan, the one who provoked the large-scale aggression unleashed by the Azerbaijani military-political leadership against the civilian population of Artsakh since September 27 and is directly involved in its implementation is Turkey, which "not only has a military involvement, but also involved armed terrorists under its service".
According to Mnatsakanyan, after the ceasefire announced on October 10, 6 civilians were killed, 4 of whom were shot dead by an Azerbaijani subversive group in Hadrut, and 2 as a result of shelling.
"Azerbaijan's war crimes are documented by the same criminals who spread and glorify their heinous acts on the Internet, including the humiliation and killing of prisoners. And this is in the case when the October 10 statement presupposes the exchange of prisoners", the minister said, adding.
"In terms of regional security and stability, the biggest threat in the future is the irreversible decision of the Azerbaijani leadership to turn the country into a zone of Turkish influence and an international terrorist center in order to maintain power".
