Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the Turkish President Recep Erdogan. According to the official website of the Russian President, a detailed reference was made to the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, and the enabling the implementation of a humanitarian ceasefire.
They called for the intensification of the political process, in particular, around the principles developed by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. Putin expressed serious concern over the involvement of Middle Eastern militants in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Russian President was hopeful that Turkey, as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, will play a constructive role in de-escalating the conflict in Karabakh.
