"Early this morning, large-scale offensive operations were launched by the Azerbaijani AFs in at least three or four directions along almost the entire border of Artsakh. The operations were hot especially in the northern direction", said Artsrun Hovhannisyan, representative of the RA Ministry of Defense, during the briefing.
According to Hovhannisyan, during the day hot battles took place in the northern direction: after heavy shelling, they started using military equipment for a large-scale attack.
"There have been very few fierce battles like this during this war. Today’s fight probably was the hottest one during the whole war during which our units managed to throw back the enemy, causing significant losses. Thanks to the united, regular and brilliant heroic actions of our AFs, reservists and volunteers we managed to stop the enemy's offensive actions", Hovhannisyan said.
According to him, the military operations were continued in the other directions, the enemy did not have any significant progress. "Despite the fact that in the last few days the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have adopted the following policy: to carry out rapid infiltrations into various settlements near the frontline by means of reconnaissance and sabotage, carry out information actions, take pictures by unfurling flags on various buildings to psychologically impact first on their own, then on our society".
According to Hovhannisyan, the 3-4 Azerbaijani corps, the progress of which in 14-15 days was equal to the progress of one regiment, is not worth praising. He says, after all nothing is left but to carry out infiltrations, take photos and present them to their own society as an allegedly captured land.
