The Russian and Turkish Defense Ministers Sergei Shoigu and Hulusi Akar had a telephone conversation during which the Russian Minister expressed concern over the transfer of militants from the Middle East to Nagorno Karabakh, Interfax reported.
"The Russian Defense Ministry is particularly concerned about the information on the deployment of terrorist groups from the Middle East in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone", the statement said.
"The Russian Ministry of Defense is actively participating in the implementation of the initiative of the Russian Federation to stabilize the situation in Nagorno Karabakh as soon as possible", the statement also reads.
