At the moment there are about 670 unexploded ordnances found in Stepanakert, said Mekhak Arzumanyan, head of the Artsakh Rescue Forces Department, during a briefing with journalists at the Artsakh InfoCenter.
"Not only Stepanakert, but all the regions were shelled. We have found weapons and ammunition in Stepanakert in almost all streets, but at the moment we can say that by 90% they are safe", Arzumanyan said, adding that after the ceasefire, the work will be carried out in other communities as well.
Arzumanyan reminded that with the help of the hotline operating around the clock, the citizens inform the rescuers about the ammunition that fell near their apartments and did not explode. The level of the citizens’ awareness is high, and no accident has occurred during this period due to unawareness.
