The Artsakh Defense Army issued a statement declaring:
"A large-scale war unleashed by the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan in the early morning of September 27 continues to this day and is accompanied by pervasive violations of many norms and principles of international humanitarian law, international human rights law and customary international law (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries, customary international law, etc.).
At the same time, in order to conceal or justify its war crimes, as well as to prepare the ground for new attacks on the civilian population, the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan resorted to propaganda of misinformation, accusing not only the military-political leadership of Artsakh but also the authorities of Armenia.
The people of Artsakh are determined to defend the security of their homeland, their people, with all their potential, as well as to hold the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan accountable for its war crimes and policy of transforming our region into a hotbed of international terrorism".
