Reporter: It is the second day of the ceasefire agreement, yet residents of Artsakh continue to hear the sounds of shell explosions and the air alarm throughout the country. The Martouni city of Artsakh has been under rocket fire for two nights already. From the first blow they do not have time to recover, another one comes. On October 10, around midnight, when there already were agreements about holding ceasefire for 10 hours, the house of Saghyan family was leveled to the ground within a few seconds. Only 75-year-old Pargev Saghyan was in the house. His son Armen Saghyan and his brother spent the night in a shelter. The father refused to leave the house, he was not able to considering his age, and the desire to leave the house was also not much enough. The sons were taking food for him twice a day.
Armen Saghyan, resident of Martouni city of Artsakh, the son of the deceased Pargev Saghyan: It happened at 12.30 at night, they called me and told that a rocket hit my house. My brother and I immediately ran home and saw that the rocket hit the wall of the house, there was a large hole on it.
Reporter: We walked past the house several times, called his name, waiting for a miracle, but to no avail - there was no response.
Armen Saghyan, a resident of Martouni city of Artsakh, the son of the deceased Pargev Saghyan: My brother and I tried to do something with our hands, we moved the stones, he was on the first floor until he reached the ceiling of that floor, then the neighbors, the relatives came, they said it is not possible with hand, you will not achieve anything.
Vahram Saghyan, Head of the Firefighter Department of Martuni, Artsakh: We tried to somehow destroy the rubble, to remove the body of that man, according to preliminary information he was dead, we decided to remove the body with the help of equipment in the morning.
Reporter: This family has already three victims during the Karabakh wars. Armen's two brothers were killed during the first war. The second day of the ceasefire was not calm in Martuni either, after the night shelling 3 apartment buildings were damaged, fortunately without casualties.
