During a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow the RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan reminded about the ceasefire agreement reached about two days ago during the 12-hour long trilateral meeting in Moscow, not observed, however by the other side.
"Today we need to end hostilities. Russia's role in this issue is extremely important. Unfortunately, we cannot say now that we have a complete ceasefire. Before my arrival, there was information that Azerbaijan was not fulfilling its commitment to a ceasefire", Mnatsakanyan said.
The Minister reminded that large-scale aggression against the people of Artsakh has been going on since September 27, where the aspirations of the Azerbaijani side to resolve the conflict by military means are openly expressed. According to Mnatsakanyan, the Azerbaijani armed forces attacked 120 civilian facilities, towns and villages, including the capital Stepanakert, as a result of which many infrastructures were damaged. About 20 civilians were killed and more than 100 were injured.
"The conflict is intensifying with the involvement of Turkey as well as terrorist and religious radicals from Syria and Lebanon. It has been proved not only by our sources, but also recorded and announced by the world community", the minister said, expressing hope for an effective discussion.
