After about 10 hours of talks between the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan (Moscow, Russia) the Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov read to the media the statement agreed between the parties.
"After long negotiations we agreed on the following document.
In response to the application of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, according to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aliyev and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Pashinyan, the parties agreed on the following steps.
1. A ceasefire is announced since October 10, 2020, at 12:00, for humanitarian purposes, for the exchange of prisoners of war and other detainees, the bodies of those killed, mediated by the International Committee of Red Cross and in accordance with the standards.
2. The specific parameters of the ceasefire regime will be agreed additionally.
3. The Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, through the mediation of the OSCE / Minsk Group Co-Chairs, on the basis of the basic principles of the settlement, start substantive negotiations with a purpose to achieve a peaceful settlement as soon as possible.
4. The parties affirm the immutability of the format of the negotiation process".
