During the briefing, the representative of the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan presented the current situation on the front line, noting that early in the morning the hostilities resumed with a new impetus both in the north and in the south.
"More intense fighting took place in the north today than the day before, but heavier fighting took place in the southern direction". According to Hovhannisyan, the Armenian Armed Forces continue to resist the enemy's offensive aspirations, giving a necessary counterattack and throwing them back to the starting positions.
"Today the enemy has suffered losses again, at the moment the fighting continues," said the MoD representative. Today, the Azerbaijani official media and circles have repeatedly stated that they have captured Hadrut and Jebrail. Hovhannisyan says it is ridiculous because he was in Hadrut while the info was disseminated.
"Moreover, there were no military operations in that specific direction at all," Hovhannisyan said. The enemy continued shelling Stepanakert throughout the day.
"Today I saw with my own eyes the ruins of the church in Shushi. In fact, one of the sections of the church has been shelled twice with a straight, high-precision blow. It can not be an accidental blow", Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.
