An online meeting of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors of the CIS member states were held today. Among the framework 15 issues on the agenda the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan mentioned the issue of unleashing aggressive war by Azerbaijan, the serious crimes committed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, gross violations of human rights and international humanitarian law, the registered cases and the preliminary investigation of criminal cases initiated on the mentioned facts.
The Prosecutor General drew attention to the fact that these wartime crimes, large-scale military actions are being carried out by prohibited devices and methods, in particular, by weapons that are strictly banned by international conventions, on the ground of national hatred and in ways, which put the lives of civilians in danger, and as a result of these actions many servicemen and civilians were killed, many got injuries, large-scale damage was caused to property.
The RA Prosecutor General informed that the factual evidence obtained in the scope of the investigation of upmentioned criminal cases prove the involvement of mercenary terrorists and extremist groups brought from Syria and Libya by Azerbaijan to take part in the military operations. Artur Davtyan has emphasized the necessity of preventing, detecting international terrorism and its expansion abolishing such dens by uniting efforts of the CIS member states. He also said that Armenia is ready to be fully involved in those actions.
