More than 1,000 people gathered in Valencia to raise their voices in protest against the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression.
Many Spaniards, Kurds and representatives of other nations also expressed their support to the Armenian population. The slogans of the rally were "Stop, Azerbaijan", "Stop, Turkey", "Aliyev - terrorist", "Erdogan - genocidal", "Artsakh is Armenia", etc.
The demonstration started in front of the Valencia Parliament, where after a minute of silence in memory of the victims, Ararat Ghukasyan, President of the Ararat Armenian Union, made an opening speech, calling on the governments of Valencia, Spain and the international community to condemn the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression. Then Gor and Nune Sahakyans read the declaration condemning the aggression, which Sargis Brsoyan and Kristine Khachatryan had submitted to the Parliament of Valencia yesterday.
The demonstration passed from the Valencia Regional Parliament through the main streets of the city to the Honorary Consulate of Turkey. The whole true story of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) existential struggle was read here, and the Spanish media were called to rely on clear information rather than publish the misinformation coming from Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The Armenians of Valencia, like the Armenians of other Spanish cities, have raised more than 25,000 euros, part of which has already been sent to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, and the rest will be sent next week. Donations continue. Also a large amount of medicines, clothes, hygiene items has been collected. These will be sent to Artsakh in the coming days.
