The whole logic of the negotiations can change after long battles, stated Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the "My Step" parliamentary faction, during briefings in the Parliament.
"In the past it was talked about finding a solution through peaceful negotiations, however Azerbaijan and Turkey decided to resolve the issue promptly by brute force. They did not succeed. Now searching a way out of this situation is the issue of the world. The Karabakh issue is no longer a local issue, because the security zone has gained international importance, because terrorist groups are located within that zone, and they are a challenge to many countries - Russia, Iran - and generally, the Karabakh issue will become an issue of international settlement," Kocharyan stated.
According to the MP, the parties will, eventually, sit at the table of negotiations, the agenda of which, however, must ensure the security of the people of Artsakh.
"At this point it is senseless to talk about the return of districts. The agenda is completely changing. "Obviously, there must be compromises, but we can not ignore the significance of our security zone not only for Artsakh, but also for the neighboring countries", he said.
Kocharian also referred to the Iranian president's statement, noting that the President of Iran understands very well that the continuous deployment of the terrorist groups involved in this war in the security zone of neighboring countries, is a direct threat to Iran, as these groups use Israeli weapons.
"Israel's participation in armaments is already a challenge for Iran. By transporting human resources, Turkey arm them with weapons produced in other countries, and Iran is very sensitive in these matters", Andranik Kocharyan said.
