The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin condemns the fact that Azerbaijan targets the Holy Savior Ghazanchetsots Church in Shushi, considering it an outgrowth of extreme religious intolerance.
"The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin calls on the pastors of the Churches, the international community, organizations, inter-church and inter-religious structures to raise a resolute voice for stopping the bloodshed, protecting the right to free and independent life of the people of Artsakh, and preserving the ancient cultural heritage", the message reports.
"Such an insult to the believers' sacred religious sentiments and a targeted shelling of chapels directly contradicts the teachings of all religions", the message also reads.
