The RA PM Nikol Pashinyan received Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The Prime Minister first referred to the hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan in Nagorno Karabakh, which are being carried out with the provocation and support of Turkey. Pashinyan stressed that, in fact, Nagorno Karabakh is waging an anti-terrorist struggle today, as members of terrorist groups are also involved in the hostilities on the Azerbaijani side with the intervention of Turkey.
Noting the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs on the call for a ceasefire, the Prime Minister stressed that Armenia welcomed it. "It is significant that despite the current situation, the next sitting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will take place in Yerevan on October 9. I am confident that we will successfully continue the constructive dialogue towards the implementation and development of the EEU goals", Nikol Pashinyan said.
The President of the EEC Board thanked the Armenian side for organizing the sitting of the Intergovernmental Council at a high level in the current situation in Yerevan. During the meeting, the main directions of the development in the integration processes within the EEU, the priorities, as well as the issues on the agenda of the forthcoming sitting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council were discussed.
