From September 27 to October 7 Artsakh Ombudsman staff carried out data gathering process of Azerbaijani Armed Forces criminal actions against civilians of Nagorno-Karabakh. As a result of analyzes they represented the following data.
Until October 7 20 civilians were killed, amobg them one little girl, 7 women and 12 men. This cases was recorded from Stepanakert, Hadrut, Martuni, Martakert and from other settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh.
93 people got injures, 73 of them seriously injured. 60 of them are male and 13 are female.
Bodily injures are mainly located on the lower and upper extremities and face of victims, in the form of shrapnel wounds.
Started from September 27 Azerbaijani side targeted more than 100 civilian objects of Nagorno-Karabakh, as a result many cases of destruction or damage of infrastructure and private property was registered. According to preliminary data, more than 4600 private own real estate (houses, shops etc.), more than 430 cars, about 750 infrastructural, public-production and facilities were damaged.
Ombudsman’s staff continue to gather data information about new cases. Ombudsman stated that this wounds were the result of using internationally banned weapons. By this rockets and aviation forces Azerbaijani side shelled many times the Stepanakert and other cities of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Ombudsman called to the international law enforcement organizations to condemn and make steps to prevent the escalation of the humanitarian catastrophe and to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Artsakh.
