This morning the enemy launched offensive operations in the southern and northern directions. The representative of the RA Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated this during the briefing. He informed that the Armenian armed forces destroyed a considerable number of enemy troops, armored vehicles and other means by retaliatory fire, pushing back the enemy.
"At the moment persistent battles are taking place, especially in the southern direction. Today and last night, which I personally witnessed, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired rockets at various settlements of Artsakh - Stepanakert, Shushi and so on. As a result of today's rocket attack, there are also wounded among the journalists. Twice today, which proves the intentionality of the actions, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired rockets at the St. Ghazanchetsots Monastery in Shushi, as a result of which the monastery was significantly damaged", Hovhannisyan said.
The representative of the Ministry of Defense also presented the damage caused to the civilian population due to the Azerbaijani aggression.
"In Artsakh alone, there are a total of 93 wounded, of which only 20 are light or medium, the others are severe. There are 20 fatalities. 1 in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. 4600 real estates have been completely or partially destroyed, 750 different infrastructures are out of order", Hovhannisyan said, adding that the data of last night and today have not been summed up yet.
