The Armenian community of Fresno took to the streets to draw the international community's attention to the fierce fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the line of contact in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, Fox24 News reports.
For the second day in a row, Armenians in America have been calling for peace. Representatives of the Armenian community of Fresno gathered at the entrance of the Armenian Cultural Center. Armenian activists are outraged that the Azerbaijani armed forces attacked Artsakh and Armenia with the support of Turkey.
Armenian demonstrators accuse Turkish forces of killing innocent civilians as well as depriving civilians of electricity and water.
"It is unacceptable for us and for everyone. They need to be shown their place. "The United States should impose sanctions on them, sending a strong message that all this is unacceptable", said Perch Abgaryan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia to Fresno.
