Sergei Naryshkin, director of the RF Foreign Intelligence Service, is concerned that the Transcaucasus could become a platform for terrorist organizations in the context of military conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. This is reported in the statement of the director of the intelligence service, TASS informs.
"The escalating military confrontation in Karabakh is attracting fighters of various international terrorist organizations like a magnet", Naryshkin told. "We can not but worry that the Caucasus may become a new platform for international terrorist organizations, from where fighters can penetrate into the territories adjacent to Armenia and Azerbaijan, including Russia", Naryshkin stressed.
