During today's briefing, Artsakh ombudsman Artak Beglaryan presented the crimes committed by Azerbaijan, against the population of Artsakh since September 27.
"Since September 27, when the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a large-scale war against Artsakh in all directions, targeting civilian settlements, human casualties, wounded and property damage have been regularly registered in the Artsakh Republic", Beglaryan said.
He presented statistics and mentioned that these days enemy's main target was Stepanakert with its population. "As of yesterday, 19 civilians were killed, including 1 child, 7 women, 11 men. The targeting was intentional. "They intended to inflict great human and material damage, perhaps also cause panic and intimidation", Beglaryan said. According to him, the number of injured is 80.
The enemy targeted especially the vital infrastructure of the settlements: electricity supply, communication means, water and gas pipeline systems. "All this shows that Azerbaijan has set itself the task of completely dismantling the vital civilian infrastructure, which is not only a war crime, but also a crime against humanity, as it could lead to a serious humanitarian catastrophe", Beglaryan said.
