"Artsakh these days, without exaggeration, is involved in the fight against international terrorism. There are serious reasons for making this claim, which are not limited to the expert level.
First, by declaring war on Artsakh, Azerbaijan in fact abandoned the path of resolving the issue through peaceful negotiations under the auspices of the three OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries (representing different power poles of the world) and chose the extreme approach of resolving the issue by force.
Second, from the first day of the war, Azerbaijan targeted the peaceful settlements of Artsakh, using weapons the use of which is prohibited by various international conventions.
Finally, in the large-scale war against Artsakh, the authorities of that country have involved mercenary terrorists, the existence of which has been substantiated by various international centers.
This means that the current situation gives us a legitimate right to move our operations to the territory of Azerbaijan to clear it of terrorist groups.
Our struggle is fair, the forthcoming developments will surely be in our favor. The whole responsibility for the consequences will be lie on the defeated military-political leadership of official Baku, headed by the Aliyev family", said Vahram Poghosyan, spokesman for the Artsakh President.
