On September 28, the personnel of the "Hovaz-1" combat position of the defense zone, led by the position commander, junior sergeant Hayk Smoyan, entered the battle against the enemy's attacking groups and resisted them, causing losses.

By personally searching the area while assessing the situation, he allowed enemy troops to penetrate into the area.
