The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif reaffirmed the need of a ceasefire on the line of contact between the Artsakh and Azerbaijani armed forces. The press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
During the conversation of the ministers, the situation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone was discussed in detail. Both sides have expressed grave concern over the ongoing large-scale hostilities, as well as the involvement of militants from illegal armed groups from Syria and Libya. They called for an immediate ceasefire and to ease tensions, to refrain from provocative and belligerent rhetoric.
