The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Robert O'Brien, National Security Adviser to the US President.
Ambassador O'Brien expressed deep concern of the American side over the situation in the South Caucasus. He reaffirmed the US interest in a speedy ceasefire and stability and its readiness to be useful to Armenia and the region. O'Brien stressed that there is no military solution to the conflict and reaffirmed the view expressed by the US President in a joint statement with Presidents Putin and Macron.
The RA Prime Minister spoke in detail about the current situation. Nikol Pashinyan stressed the fact of Turkey's involvement in hostilities and the deployment, by Turkey, of mercenaries and terrorists from Syria in Azerbaijan. The Prime Minister stressed the need to expel mercenaries and terrorists from the region, without which a ceasefire is impossible.
