The town of Martuni was quite purposefully and deliberately shelled by the Azerbaijani "Grad" artillery station. Artsakh Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan stated this in a conversation with "Lurer".
He noted that especially the civilian infrastructures were shelled, including the centeral area of the town of Martuni, which is very far from military facilities.
"We can definitely say that there was an intention to hit civilian objects. As a result 4 civilians were killed, 11 civilians were injured, including journalists (two of whom are French journalists)", Beglaryan said, adding that he hoped international human rights organizations would make an appropriate assessment, come to Artsakh and conduct fact-finding activities.
