Moscow reaffirmed its readiness to provide a platform for a trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia.
Earlier Lavrov had separate telephone conversations with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The development of the situation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone was discussed.
Sergey Lavrov stressed that Russia will continue to use its national capacity, as well as joint mediation efforts with the other OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, to establish conditions for the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict through political and diplomatic means.
