The Japanese government has called on the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to cease hostilities and negotiate. This was announced by the Secretary General of the Government of Japan Katsunobu Kato.
He also stressed that the Japanese authorities are deeply concerned about the military clashes in the conflict zone, which have resulted in the death of civilians.
"We continue to closely monitor developments", said Kato.
