The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he did not discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin the issue of Russia's possible participation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
"Armenia wants to build qualitatively new relations with Russia", he told Russian media, according to TASS. "Armenia does not consider the possibility of bringing peacekeepers to Karabakh", he said.
The Prime Minister touched upon the possibility of recognizing the independence of Nagorno Karabakh. "Yes, the issue of recognizing Nagorno Karabakh's independence is on our agenda. We are also considering the possibility of forming a military-political alliance with Karabakh", Nikol Pashinyan said.
According to the RA Prime Minister, Armenia's actions are aimed at establishing long-term stability in Nagorno Karabakh.
Pashinyan said that Armenia will ensure its security with or without CSTO participation. He also noted that Armenia is always in touch with its CSTO partners.
According to the Prime Minister, Armenia is ready to host the October 9 sitting of the EEU Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan.
