The Georgian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement on the situation of the Artsakh-Azerbaijani line of contact, Alik Media reports.
"We are following with concern the next military escalation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which, according to the spread information, has led to casualties and damage to infrastructure.
We hope that a ceasefire agreement will be reached, the parties will enter into a negotiation regime and avoid large-scale hostilities, which will have a drastic negative impact on the security of the entire region.
Georgia calls on the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and international actors to make every effort to end the escalation and resume the constructive dialogue.
We declare that Georgia is ready to contribute to de-escalation and peace in the region in any way possible," the statement said.
