The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) expresses its concern over the humanitarian impact of hostilities on the Line of Contact since the morning of 27 September. There were reports of casualties on both sides, including civilians. This was reported by the ICRC Yerevan office.
"The ICRC urges the parties to take all necessary measures to save the lives of civilians and to ensure the security of infrastructure, in compliance with the rules of international humanitarian law in accordance with the obligations of the parties.
We reaffirm our readiness to support those affected by this tension, as well as to act as a neutral mediator", said Martin Schupp, ICRC Regional Director for Operations.
