On September 27, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. The situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone was discussed.
Lavrov expressed serious concern over the ongoing large-scale hostilities on the line of contact, reports of casualties. The need for a ceasefire was stressed.
Russia, along with other OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, will continue to make mediation efforts to stabilize the situation, Lavrov said.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov is preparing a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bayramov.
