The Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan convened a special sitting of the National Assembly based on the current situation. Harutyunyan stated that for several days now, the entire political elite of Azerbaijan has been preparing the world for war in various formats.
"Why am I emphasizing this, because the Azerbaijani side was claiming that there are kurdish or other foreign mercenaries from Syria or other countries in Artsakh, that is, that we are doing what they are doing. And yes, we have information that in the last few days volunteers and mercenaries from Turkey and other countries have been transferred to Azerbaijan by different planes. For a long time now, the Turkish army has been in Azerbaijan under the name of military exercises, but we understand the purpose", the Artsakh President said.
Arayik Harutyunyan mentioned that they have been mobilizing for several days now, of course presenting a false agenda, as if Armenia is preparing for war. "I want to say that we have always been preparing for war, but we are not in favor of war. Artsakh wants peace the most in the world. We have stated that the Azerbaijani government will be responsible for resuming any war, not only today, tomorrow, but also in the future", Harutyunyan said, observing a minute of silence in memory of the victims.
