The mayor of Bourg-les-Valence, France, Marlene Mourier, said that she had received threats from Azeris for the Artsakh flag raised in the city.
"This is not Azerbaijan for you, and you will not decide what laws or regulations will be here", Mourier wrote on her Facebook page.
Back in 2015 a declaration of Friendship was signed between the cities of Shushi (Artsakh) and Bourg-les-Valence (France). After that, Azerbaijan included Mourier in the notorious "black list". The Supreme Court of Azerbaijan condemned her, demanded to cancel all the agreements and stop communicating with Artsakh.
"Azerbaijan, Aliyev and his allies must understand that it's we choose our friends", she said.
