Today's session of the government started with the discussion of the situation caused by the coronavirus. The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that we have an aggravation again - as a result of 3913 tests, 374 new cases of infection have been confirmed yesterday.
"This is related to people's more mobility. Our position remains the same: we must continue to live in parallel with the coronavirus, and much depends on the individual responsibility of each of us. Of course, administrative measures must also be strictly applied.
We agreed that the inspection bodies and the police should strengthen the control over the observance of the rules. On the other hand, we must understand that we have red lines, one of which is that our hospital capacity may be depleted", said the Prime Minister, reminding that many medical centers for the treatment of coronavirus disease have returned to their previous work. According to PM, if the number of infected people in one day continues to grow, the MCs may turn into coronavirus centers again.
The Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, in his turn, noted that at present 1230 ordinary and 170 resuscitation beds are occupied by coronavirus patients. 70% of these are still free.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that the Government has worked 100% transparently during this period and has not concealed any numbers related to the coronavirus.
"What we know, the Armenian society and the whole world know. The government continues to implement anti-crisis measures. A new assistance program is coming into force today", said Nikol Pashinyan.
