The MP of the "My Step" faction Ruben Rubinyan touched upon the joint rally convened by "Prosperous Armenia", "Homeland" and Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) parties in a briefing with journalists in the parliament today.
"I do not think that these forces will be able to provide public mobilization for two reasons. First of all, I do not think that despite all the problems, there is great dissatisfaction among the public. Secondly, I do not think that even if there is such dissatisfaction, it is those forces that should mobilize someone.
In general, I think that these forces will never be able to mobilize broad support in Armenia, and they can look for the reasons in their past, present or other places", Rubinyan said.
Touching upon the Karabakh conflict, Rubinyan noted that Armenia has always taken constructive positions aimed at strengthening the peace process. "I think it is more than obvious which side is destructive, which side is attacking the other and which side is thwarting the negotiation process," he said.
According to Rubinyan, the Azerbaijani side always makes categorical statements, and Armenia's position is logical. "It is impossible to hold substantive talks in conditions when one of the parties constantly threatens to use force", Rubinyan noted.
