Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross visited the citizens of Armenia and Artsakh who are in captivity in Azerbaijan.
In a conversation with "Lurer", Zara Amatuni, head of the communication programs of the ICRC delegation in Yerevan, confirmed that they also visited Gurgen Alaverdyan.
Armenian AF officer Gurgen Alaverdyan got lost on August 22 due to unfavorable weather conditions, and appeared in Azerbaijan, where he was presented as a saboteur.
The "Lurer" last contacted the International Committee of the Red Cross on the issue on Saturday, so it is assumed that the meeting with the Armenian officer took place either on Sunday or Monday.
According to Zara Amatuni, in such works, family members are usually the first to be informed. During their visit, the Red Cross representatives checked the conditions of the captives, inquired about their health, and provided an opportunity to contact their families.
Berdavan village resident Karen Ghazaryan, soldier Arayik Ghazaryan, Nerkin Khndzoresk village resident Narek Sardaryan, Armenian officer Gurgen Alaverdyan and Artsakh citizen Arsen Baghdasaryan are being held captive in Azerbaijan.
