The President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron sent a congratulatory message to the RA President Armen Sargsyan on the occasion of the Independence Day of Armenia.
The message particularly says:
"Mr. President, dear friend,
On behalf of myself and the French people, I send you my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.
France and Armenia can be proud of relationships based on their rich historical ties, shared memory and shared vision.
These special ties are more than ever a treasure trove that we must develope. They make us stronger to face the challenges that our countries face.
I want to assure you that France is determined to support Armenia in the courageous work of change undertaken by the Government of Armenia since 2018. France is by Your side to support the new growth of your economy, as well as to support Armenia in introducing long-term concrete programs in the field of health and combating the effects of climate change. More than ever, all actors in our bilateral relations are ready to support reform and participate in economic growth.
Despite the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I am pleased with the recent achievements of our cooperation in the fields of education and culture.
I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize that France, as the Co-Chair of the Minsk Group, will spare no effort to achieve a speedy resumption of talks between the parties, hoping for a peaceful and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Please accept, Mr. President, the deepest assurances of my highest consideration".
