The RA Prime Minister's wife Anna Hakobyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the "My Step" Charitable Foundation, together with Shombi Sharp, UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia, and Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Executive Director of the "My Step" Charitable Foundation, and many volunteers, participated in the cleaning works in the coastal recreation zone of the Vanadzor River, In the framework of the "Armenia without plastic waste" program.
The event was implemented in cooperation with the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
Within a few hours the participants of the event cleaned the garbage-rich 1.5 km coastal area of the Vanadzor River, returning it to its true appearance and charm. As a result of the cleaning works, 450 bags of garbage were collected, of which 200 bags of sorted garbage (plastic waste) were sent for recycling, and the rest were taken to a landfill.
