Within the framework of the EU for Business (EU4Business) initiative, 10 Armenian companies will be provided with plans to implement a food safety system, according to the EU Armenia Office. In addition, the 5 companies with the better export prospects will undergo certification training.
The European Union also assists Armenian food producers in developing a competitive brand identity. The EU co-sponsors the branding of a number of companies operating in the food processing sector, providing them with personalized solutions.
The new trademarks emphasize the uniqueness and competitive advantages of Armenian products and increase their export potential.
The project mainly supports companies engaged in the production of dried fruits, canned food, herbs and herbal teas.
