Continuing the topic of economic good news against the background of economic difficulties, let us state that in January-July 2020 the export of live sheep and goats from Armenia increased by 256%, as compared to the same period of the previous year. The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"About 41,000 head of small cattle were exported, for a total of about $ 3.4 million. This increase is a direct result of a number of steps taken by the Government, and the export of small cattle benefits many businesses that have responded positively to my calls "to breed sheep".
I continue to insist that this is one of the promising sectors of our agriculture, which can also be a very effective tool for overcoming poverty, if, of course, many villagers in many of our villages show the will to join forces, form rural cooperatives and take advantage of government opportunities. We will do our best to encourage that to happen" the Prime Minister wrote.
