On September 15, Shirak Governor Tigran Petrosyan received the delegation led by the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Victorin. The governor of Shirak welcomed the ambassador and highlighted the existing cooperation in a number of spheres.
"We are glad to host you in Shirak region and we are sure that as a result of cooperation with the European Union, many programs will be implemented that will contribute to the development of Shirak region", said the governor, referring to the region's problems and presenting programs aimed at solving them.
Andrea Victorin thanked for the warm reception and confidently noted that the cooperation with Shirak will be continuous and multi-layered.
In cooperation with other organizations, the EU will continue its currently funded projects, the main purpose of which is to mitigate the negative impact of the pandemic on the region's agricultural and tourism enterprises of the region. There will also be innovative grants aimed at the development of non-technological small and medium enterprises.
