Today the Parliament elected the three candidates for a judge of the Constitutional Court by secret ballot.
The Chairman of the NA Counting Committee Vahagn Hovakimyan announced the results of the election of candidates for a judge of the Constitutional Court.
According to it, 88 out of 132 deputies took part in the voting.
84 deputies voted for the candidate Yervand Khundkaryan, 2 voted against, 2 ballots were declared invalid.
The candidate Arthur Vagharshyan got 86 votes in favor, 1 against, 1 ballot was declared invalid.
The candidate Edgar Shatiryan received 85 votes in favor and 3 against.
To remind - Khundkaryan was nominated by the General Assembly of Courts, Vagharshyan was nominated by the RA President, and Edgar Shatiryan was nominated by the RA Government.
Only the ruling "My Step" faction took part in the voting, the "Prosperous Armenia" and "Bright Armenia" opposition factions boycotted the voting.
