The first Yerevan-Sharm El-Sheikh flight will take place on Thursday after the coronavirus break. Before his visit to Georgia, Egyptian Minister of Tourism Khaled Al-Anani stopped in Yerevan to meet with representatives of Armenian tourism companies.
Given the risk of a pandemic, the minister was pleased to announce that there have been very few cases of coronavirus infection among the more than 200,000 tourists who have arrived in Egypt since July 1. Infected or suspected tourists will be isolated in the hotel, all expenses will be covered by the hotel.
"From September, we will resume cultural tourism in Luxor, also in Cairo. Sea tours with motorboats and yachts will resume in October. We will be happy to receive Armenian tourists as well", said the Egyptian Minister of Tourism.
The official representative of "Air Cairo" airline in Armenia Hripsime Stambulyan noted that there are many people who want it, with the first flight 25 representatives of the media will leave to cover how safe it is to have a rest in Egypt.
To fly to Egypt from here, you need to have a test performed at least 72 hours in advance, and the plane will also follow the anti-epidemic rules.
