After the meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan took part in a joint press conference of the Foreign Ministers.
"We have strong friendly relations with Egypt, very practical. This visit is also a good opportunity to show and assess the current state of our relations. We have the same interests in peace, security and development. And we know that we have achieved the best results by working together and cooperating closely with each other", said the RA Foreign Minister in part, during the press conference.
To the question of "Sky News Arabia" - How do you assess Turkey's behavior in the Caucasus, in the Eastern Mediterranean, is that behavior dangerous or not?, Mnatsakanyan, in particular, answered:
"Our attention and our priorities are related to ensuring the physical security and status of our compatriots in Nagorno Karabakh, the recognition of the right to self-determination and its implementation without restrictions.
Security is at the heart of our top priorities. The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs format, consisting of France, Russia and the United States, has been and remains the only important international platform, in which we are trying to resolve this conflict".
"As for Turkey. During the July events (Military aggression unleashed by Baku on Tavush section of Armenian-Azerbaijani border, ed.) Turkey was the only country that took a one-sided and very aggressive approach. He unilaterally supported Azerbaijan, showed an aggressive approach to Armenia and the Armenian people. It was expressed both in rhetoric at all levels and in actions.
We are witnessing this policy of spreading influence from the Eastern Mediterranean to North Africa and the Middle East, as well as the South Caucasus. Such a policy is not welcome at all", Mnatsakanyan stressed.
