On 14 September the President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan received a delegation led by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Torosyan, the press office of the Artsakh President reported.
Welcoming the guests, the President noted that the Artsakh authorities are going to multiply the means allocated to the healthcare sphere in order to have free, high-quality medical services.
The President highlighted the closer cooperation with the RA Ministry of Health and medical centers in terms of attracting highly qualified specialists and organizing continuous training courses with the local staff.
Haruyunyan thanked the Armenian government for donating 7 ambulances and 3 reanimobiles to Artsakh, noting that these are unprecedented for the Artsakh healthcare system and will solve vital problems.
In his turn, the RA Minister of Health thanked the Artsakh President for the warm reception, emphasizing that the reforms aimed at improving the healthcare system of Artsakh and making it accessible to the people are definitely welcomed, and the RA authorities will continue to take active steps to support them.
After the meeting a solemn ceremony of handing over ambulances took place in Stepanakert's "Veratsnund" (Renaissance) Square.
