Today, the RA Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan received the delegation led by the US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy.
The Minister discussed with the Ambassador a number of issues related to the key spheres of the Armenian reform agenda, such as the fight against corruption and police reforms. The Minister also referred to the results of cooperation with the US Government and further opportunities.
In particular, Rustam Badasyan spoke about the creation of a new Patrol Service, the process of recruiting applicants, the special unit set up in the Prosecutor General's Office to confiscate property of illegal origin, the work to be done in the direction of forming the Anti-Corruption Committee and the Anti-Corruption Court.
Badasyan thanked the Ambassador for the continuous support provided for the implementation of reforms in the mentioned spheres, emphasizing that the current results already speak about the quality of the relations between the governments of the two countries.
The Ambassador Lynne Tracy thanked the Minister for this meeting ahead of the Armenian-American Strategic Dialogue.
