The NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs unanimously approved the draft law submitted by the deputies of the "My Step" faction, which proposes to criminalize the direct and public incitement to genocide.
The draft stipulates that direct and public incitement to genocide is punishable by 8 to 10 years in prison. The same act committed through the mass media or through a computer system, with the prior consent of a group of persons, is punishable by 10 to 14 years in prison. And in case of using the official position, the official is punished with imprisonment for 14-20 years or life imprisonment.
