The mountains of Artsakh are ideal for getting alpine honey. There are even deer around here. That is why Suren Grigoryan prefers at least 1100 meters above sea level. The experienced beekeeper knows where to take the hives in each weather.
Suren Grigoryan is the President of the Artsakh Beekeepers Association. "At this point we are quite satisfied with the results. Of course we always expect a more serious result. But at the moment, what we are seeing now, is definitely a good result", he said.
Bees are not in traditional, but in light and frost-resistant hives. There are 700 of it so far. Reservist officers and young people from the village take care of them. All expenses are covered by the company, which accepts honey at a guaranteed price.
